Since 1984, Davis voters have regularly approved instructional parcel taxes to support the academic program of the Davis Joint Unified School District. Two of these measures sunset in June 2012.
In a mail-only election with votes tallied on March 6, 2012, Davis voters will be asked to renew Measures Q and W. Currently these measures generate $6.5 million annually to support educational programs for Davis students.
Successful renewal requires approval of two-thirds of voters returning ballots by the close of election.
